Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous skills, such as being able perform, direct, produce, write plays teaching, as well as be the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is a "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories include attending play rehearsals and observing her mother at work. As a young kid, she made the rounds in commercials of various kinds. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. After that, she settled to Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in a Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her husband in 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011 after converting to Judaism. They got wed in a civil ceremony in December this year. They then reaffirmed their vows at an Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton on April 11, 2011. Bo and Lauren's relationship (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) appears on CNN's most-loved TV couples list.
