Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up alongside 12 other kids. Her imaginative mind was a great way to get away from the harsh realities of everyday life. The songs she wrote were composed before she could read or write. The first time she picked up a guitar was when she was just 8 years old and began singing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. That following year, Gold Band Records was a small independent record label. In high school she established herself in the local community, yet she yearned for a larger stage. After graduating from the high school in 1964, she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were the first two albums to chart from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers for his show that was syndicated at this point. Parton took the job in 1966, joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, but in 1974, because her albums on her own like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton, after the split of their collaboration with Wagoner, wrote"I Will Never Love You and made it to the top spot at No. The first time that a song was able to reach No.
